Rest in Power Jackson Mthembu

South Africa’s Minister of the Presidency, Jackson Mthembu, has died from Covid-19 related complications.
Reports suggest that Mthembu was stable in the morning.
Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated rapidly as the day progressed.
Mthembu was born on the 5th of June, 1958, in the Mpumalanga Province of South Africa.
He leaves behind his wife and five children.
Mthembu was involved with the Metal and Allied Workers Union as a steward during 1984-1986.
Mthembu was imprisoned numerous times by the Apartheid government.
Between 1986 and 1988 he was charged with treason by the Apartheid regime.
